In Honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, ƹ϶Ƶ Funds School Technology Projects in Silicon Valley & Beyond

New York (May 5, 2015) –announced today that, in honor of National Teacher Appreciation Day, ƹ϶Ƶ has “flash funded” 147technology projects at schools in Silicon Valley and beyond.

All existing DonorsChoose.org technology projects in the following California counties have been fully funded with today’s contribution by ƹ϶Ƶ: Santa Clara, San Jose, San Mateo and Alameda.The contribution is benefiting more than 14,000 students.

“We’re so grateful to work with ƹ϶Ƶ again to help bring valuable resources to teachers and students,” said Charles Best, founder and CEO of DonorsChoose.org. “Technology is helping teachers bring new curriculum into the classroom, and customize learning opportunities for students at every skill level. These projects will help provide students the 21st century education they’ll need to succeed.”

ƹ϶Ƶ chose the region given its acquisition last year of Move, Inc., operator of ®, which is headquartered in San Jose.

One hundred thirty seven teachers at 97 schools were notified today that their classroomprojects have been funded. Some examples of the technology-based projects include:


Rechargeable batteries for robotics team’s NXT bots.


Dual range force sensors for students to perform experiments in the physics classroom.


Telescope to host astronomy night and give students a hands-on stargazing experience.
