Julian Delany

Chief Technology Officer

Julian Delany is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Mr. Delany leads global efforts to strengthen »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ’s technology backbone and drive enterprise-wide outcomes across brands, newsrooms and systems. He oversees a cross-functional team focused on innovation, integration and service delivery and works closely with global »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ teams to align local execution with broader digital programs.

Previously, Mr. Delany has been a key leader at »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Australia since 2012, where he held a range of senior roles across digital publishing and product development. He was appointed CTO in 2020 after serving as Managing Director of News DNA, the company’s digital-focused news, food and lifestyle division, and previously as General Manager of news.com.au.

Prior to joining »Æ¹Ï¶ÌÊÓƵ Australia, Mr. Delany spent a decade at Foxtel, including as General Manager of The Weather Channel, a 24/7 live broadcast and data-led platform. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Sydney.
